This is for all those people who didn't believe me when I said that Estonian was a hard language to learn because of declentions. The base word of this entire word is "Raamatu" which is books, as in bookstore. Then you add on "antik"... so they sell old books I guess. Finally they added on "variaat" which is like about everything... various publications. Hey don't ask me, it was taken in a post-communist country.

Anyway... yeah, declentions bad. This word just has three, but they happen to be long ones.

So a Merry christmas to all who happen to read this. Or more properly said in the language above:
Uusald jôulupülhi ja onmerikast uut aastat!

I've been hanging with my parents and sister, we did almost nothing on christmas: read, opened presants, and just generally relaxed. Today we went shopping, some of my gifts had to be rebought, and my father had to buy a new computer. Fastest computer ever. My dad and I went to Memory Express, which is a calgary computer store, showed the dude behind the counter the piece of paper that we had done yesterday on their website that had the computer specs laid out from their own scripts, and the guy made some recommendations, we changed a couple things and paid him. Took like 5 minuites. My dad can pick it up on wednesday and then I'll get it set up next weekend for him.

From there we went to try to get a DVD player for my mother...

On a side not "Waiting for Guffman" is on tv right now, I rented this movie with Brendan and Jim on tuesday night. It's a movie about bad community theater. I think that about once every 5 years so is about good for a movie that bad.

... so first we went to Future shop on McLeod trail, the only word I have to describe that place was zoo. There were so many people there that the salesmen were overwhelmed. They had no clue what they had in stock, quite honestly I think the fire code was breached...

So we went to the Sony store in Chinook Center, just down the road, I haven't smelled air like that since I went into the Pyramid in Egypt, there were so many people there that all you could smell was carbon dioxade and the moisture from exhaled breath. Anyway, we went to the Sony store and got the demo model. In the words of the salesman "So that I don't have to listen to this Celine Dion CD again." And then home we went.

When I got home again I went straight back out again with my mother to do some rebuying of some of my gifts that didn't fit, and also to get some cables for her DVD player. We ended up at the City Center mall, which was somewhat less busy.

Finally I went out and finished some of my christmas shopping for the Friends and Fiends party, and in relation to this, Star: Project tinsel is a go. And I found some other hard to shop for people their gifts. Yes I know, I'm shopping on boxing day for christmas gifts, bad bad james...

So yeah, thats been it for the past while, eat sleep work movies christmas, shop, and no snowboarding tomorrow.

Later my rezzies...

So it figures, Today most of my friends have gone off to see LOTR:TROTK. When I was asked if I wanted to go, I said no. Mostly because I'd have to finish work more or less on time to make it downtown by 9:00. Basically for the last week, my work has been slamming me pretty bad. Most nights last week I didn't get off work until after 8:00 sometime. My shift usually ends at 7:00 or so so this is good for the paychecque. However, Monday and Tuesday this week I didn't leave work till after 9:30. So I figured it'd be a safe bet that I wouldn't be able to make it, hence I didn't change my mind and try to get a ticket.

So of course today I was actually finished before my shift was over. (Yes it does happen on rare occasion.) So now I'm bored.

Graaaaah!

Retrospect in introspect.

And so there I sat, passively watching,
the river flow by, its silver scales a shining.
And the serpent's fire, it told me about,
things of my past, near forgotten.
And those things out of time, they show me myself,
in deeds and events, and words.
And things I've forgotten.

And I took up the coin, and gave it a spin,
the glitter of sun in my eyes.
And then when I cought it, and looked into my hand,
the black that fell off did suprise.
And so up in the air, again went the coin,
again would the sun appear?
For things I've forgotten.

And so the decision was made, the coin in my hand,
Into the fire consumed.
And when I thought, that it should come back,
it never returned to me.
And so I wandered away, and ended up home,
with misery and grief.
Of things I've forgotten.

Its gonna be a fun one today.

Today I have so far been awake for a total of 45 minuites. In that time I've done precisely nothing. Save get ready for work, and trip in my back yard, brusing my knee. Oh yeah and wait for three minuites at the stop light out on the corner while the bus I need to take appears in the distance, makes its leasurely way down 114 st, stopping at every bus stop and traffic light in view, including the one accross the street from where I was standing. and makes it out of sight in the other direction before the little stop hand starts blinking telling me that the light is thinking about changing.

I'm gonna love today, I can just tell.
