Pure as the Driven on Snow.
I don't usually title my posts but this one deserves it.
A forklift is not a Toy!
For those of you who are now laughing at what I did to myself with a forklift, I didn't.
I plan on beating a coworker to death just as soon as there are no witnesses present. The little Emo boy from work certainly deserves it.
Couple of physics lessons (For those of you who didn't learn them in grade three with everyone else.)
(For those of you who hate physics lessions, the *#*#* will denote the end.)
When you have an object that is designed to roll on wheels on the ground (say a car for example) that has 2 wheels fixed in one direction and 2 wheels that can change directions then there are only 2 circumstances in which it will travel in a straight line in the direction of the force acting on it:
1. When the push comes from behind the fixed wheels and travels in a straight line past the unrestricted wheels at the center of the things gravity.
2. When the push comes directly from the exact opposite direction.
But when you push from any other angle it will accelerate, in a direction dictated by the angle of the push to the direction of the fixed wheels. But never will this be straight away from the force acting on it.
In the scenario that I was privy to the angle was about 45 degrees to the center pushing from the unfixed wheel side. This means it moved at that 45 degrees at the beginning but quickly spun to almost 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the direction the push was comming from/moving in. All the while moving to the side.
*#*#*
Unfortunetly there was a foot (mine) and then a counter (not mine) in the way. Also unfortunately the push came from a forklift.
Things we should all learn from this?
1. Do not ram things with a forklift. 2. Do not ram things with a forklift. 3. If for some unforseen reason you must ram something with a forklift, make sure anyone else is a long way away. 4. Temper tantrums should not be thrown, especially whilst operating a forklift (or really any form of heavy machinery.) 5. If something is in your way, and you are on a forklift, Get off the forklift and move it. Or for the lazy ask someone not on the forklift to move it for you. 6. Do not ram things with a forklift.
Another day gone by where I am glad they make me where shoes with steel in them.

So I went and saw Henry Rollins tonight. Man he's intense. Pretty funny too. He started with some lighting into the bush adminstration. He ranted for quite a while about them. Especially about Mr Bush's comment the other week about Spatial Entrapeneurs. He also had some facinating insights into the reasons for the war in iraq but I don't really need to go into them. He moved off through some concerts and reuntion tours he's done. Off through a surreal conversation he had with someone trying to break into his home. He finished with recording some music with William Shatner. Man William Shatner sounds surreal. And can you honestly imagine William Shatner, Henry Rollins, Adrian Beleu and a drummer recording a song produced by Ben Folds? Thats crazy. Anyway, thats more or less my brief synopsis of the evening. It was great. I'm gonna go be sick for the next few days. k?

So I have a new bed... thats frame, mattress, sheets, and pillow. The only thing from the old bed that I kept is the mattress pad and the comforter. These sheets are fantabulas. And I got to learn a new word today. Tockle. Which, through contextual definition means to bend to a certain angle to fit through a small opening. I'm sure its real definition is different though.
I also found out that Ikea's idea of the size of a queen mattress and sleep country's idea of a queen mattress conflict by a few inches. Hence the new frame.
Did I mention that the sheets are fantabulas? They are great!
I'm even thinking about skipping gaming to give it a proper trial sleep...
Was thinking... briefly...

I got love in the mail today. I feel better already.
Aside from that I impulsed shopped today. I bought a geek toy. On the plus side (based on my recent conversation with lil) It is definetly not something that someone would have bought for me. On the... plus side I've already corrupted the revolutionist into wanting one.
I feel great.

So yeah... I'm not so sure tonight. I've been thinking about music. I really like music, as those who know me and yet read this blog probabally know. I like music alot. And now, I have a car with a cd player in it again so it should, in theroy be picking up again.
But I haven't heard anything lately that I like.
I had a conversation with Lil a while back where I ended up lending her a bunch of cd's. She asked me to play some more aggressive music that was still good, as I recall. And I had alot of problems getting that sort of thing togeather for her. I dunno why but my collection seems to be sagging somewhat and theres worse yet.
Theres nothing new. Not as in no new cd's, no more like no new bands or interests that are diverse. All my crazy music has gone to the mists of time. I think that I might be able to scratch up some arrogant worms or something for you. But no Uncle Bonsai. No Chibo Matto, or other madness.
I'm at a loss of what to do or where to look or even what genre any new or recurring tastes should be in. I've done industrial to death, and the good metal, and the sarah's and ani's of this world.
Where does my path lead. Back to mainstream, through the forests, or... off a cliff...

I want cool dreams.
I say this because most of my friends post the odd dream that they've had. And I can really honestly say that I remember very few dreams. And most of those aren't really worth it anyway. I guess my consious mind is so immersed in fantasy or fantastic thoughts (well one can reach for it, can't one?) that it feels the need to get all the boring ones out.
On the very rare occasion I'll get one that does not either A) play off of my phobia's, or B) involve me drowning. The drowning one is predictable. I'll find I'm underwater after something (I can never remember the intro) happens to get me there. Then I'll be underwater and suddenly remember that you're not supposed to breathe underwater. Then I'll hold my breath for a while. Then I'll get distracted by something and start talking. Then I'll be awake and remembering that this is just a dream.
Thats about 99% of the dreams that I can ever remember having had. I do get some others, but they are not really dreams. They are more precognisite flashes of stuff. I forget about them right away, but in the next couple of weeks after one of them I'll run across the image (usually a couple seconds long. always in one direction, and may involve some sound) and get the whold Deja Vu thing going on. Thing is I can usually place the day that I had the dream of it on.
Leads me to be more suspicious of the whole spiritual thing. If I can have precog flashes then mabey there is more out there...
Bah! says the agnostic part of me. Its not really evidence. Your head is just making it up.
Mabey...
