Well, 21 hours after it begins, it ends. I've made no seceret that my mother has been around for most of the last month. It was decided that we would be selling the house toward the beginning of that time and since then we have been working towards getting it into sellable shape. Saturday morning we listed it on the market at 1 pm or so and today by 10am it was sold. I'll miss it but it is a chance to stay somewhere new and different for a while. Anyway, thats pretty much everything about it but the details. I'll be moving towards the end of the month, to where? No idea.

So thats whats going on.

Well, it would seem that we have a new family record. My house has had an offer within 2 hours of listing. I'll see what that offer is tonight. Probabally not enough, but hey, these things take time.

It has been an interesting week. I dropped my new video card in when I got back from the wedding. It works well but there seems to be some sort of horizontal lock problem that ocellates in Linux. What a headache, literally. So my VGAP email comes in on the linux side and I need to figure out how to send it out and re set up my email to be checked from the Windows side. Then I transfered it over to my new case. That was a fun project for the evening and the steam cleaner who came over yesterday commented that "It must be a nice computer, I'm a computer geek and I know these things." Never mind the Athalon 2700 XP, never mind the gig of ram, never mind the 256 mb graphics card, its the case that makes the machine. And that, dear friends, is why I bought it.

Lotsa visitors running around the house. My first roomate, Noriko, is back from Japan for a visit. My sister is back from Guatamala, Her best friend stayed over last night. I'm just glad my dad isn't around. Poor guy's been working himself to death lately.

I seem to be going golfing today. Looking out the window this may not be such a good idea, but I wanted to try again and the weather just didn't cooperate. after that I get to teach myself how to drywall, I got a couple pieces that need replacement in the downstairs.

My sister has been pushing to get me a job a Coke again. It looks ok, but the one problem I have with it is that it seems that the hours aren't garanteed. That may be a problem, but I will withold judgement until something actually materializes. My sister has been trying to get me this job for quite a while and nothing has materialized yet so I'll just set it on simmer in the back of my mind.

Thursday I was actually at BP's, shock of shocks, briefly. I had come to drop Kris off and said hi to some of the latecommers around there. I saw Jeanne, Star, Star's cousin, and Mike. I saw Gaider there, but didn't say hi, he seemed to be in conversation with someone. Anyway I managed to spend a couple minuites in Star's presances which has a special effect. Whenever I talk to Star the first couple minuites always make me feel loved and valued for some reason. After that it is a toss up over how I will feel, but those first 2 minuites are always the same, wierd.

Anyway, time to go try my hand at poorly playing golf again. I hope lightning doesn't strike.

The wedding went well. I ended up driving to Sycamous BC, which is almost exactly 500 km from Calgary, making it a 4 day 1600km roadtrip. In the middle I got one nondriving day in which I attended a wedding on a houseboat.

I have to admit, it was one of the best weddings that I have been witness to. It was quite audatious, having no schedule, but everything turned out as well as or better than planned. The bride and groom were quite successfully hitched and then ushered off to Trinidad. Anyway, I made new friends and hung out with old ones. Ate some good food, watched the wedding party watersky before the wedding. It was quite relaxing. You'd think that for a houseboat wedding turnout would be small, nope, 80 attendees.

Even if I did have to sleep in a coffin.

Aside from that I have to say it was one of the happiest times of my life for the past several years.

Well, It has been a while. I apologize for my lack of posting here, but things are likely to get worse before they get better. Cycling to work is going well, and semi reliable sources have told me that it's starting to have an effect on my body shape.

Work on the house progresses, and seems to have been taking up all my time of late. Thanks to everyone who came over and helped to regrade the lot with me. Landscapers are comming to finish it, however pretty much everyone agrees that what we did was nessisary to prevent the flooding from the storms that were subsequent to the big storm that showed the problem. Since then lots of work has gone into the inside of the place to try to restore it to its origional apperance. Lotsa stuff has been tossed.

Aside from that I seem to be getting into a more and more antisocial mindset these days. Cutting back on staying out late and wanting to be away from the house. Eating at home more and the like.

So thats about it. The big day for my eyes remains sept. 3rd (I think, the day before the september long weekend). So I won't make Shades' WEM letch party. My eyes won't probabally be up to that till October sometime. I'm looking foreward to it, however I'm going to be in Calgary for it. So I won't be around then either, I think I'll come back on the Sunday or mabey the Monday, and should have the Tuesday off as well.

I'm off now to a wedding in BC. I'm happy for them, and its a nice break for me. Relax on a houseboat for the next couple days. mmmm....

The only other thing is that I got my hair died the other day. I've never had that done before so its kinda neat. Right now it is black with blond tips, which is far too normal for me, but looks good for the wedding where they don't know the extent to whick I am not. So when I get back I think dark red is gonna go there, or mabey purple... hmmm...

Anyway, thats the story for now.
