I'd forgotten what an institutionalized buerocracy is like. I can't actually register for courses yet, can't do that till the 12th. However I can wander around and look at all the shiny courses and when they're offered. I guess my real problem is that all the couses that I need to show to transfer to engineering are engineering only, so I could in some cases take the equivalents, but in most cases am screwed. I talked to a course adviser today and she told me that really what was best for all involved would be to talk to the engineering adviser. That aside I guess they open up the engineering classes to non-engineers once all the engineers are registered.
She also told me to specify a major. I really don't know what I would want my major to be outside of enginnering. I told her physics, I'm thinking that I should have told her chemistry or geology or something. I'm sure I don't want it to be math, fairly sure I don't want physics or comp sci. Oh well, thats what happens when you make a snap decision off the cuff.
I'm trying to register for all the university 101 classes and Survive US and the like, I should be there for the orentation session.
I'd like to mention that my friends have been great through all of this. R and G are looking into apartments for me, I'm gonna look into rez. Cyn offered to help me move and Laz has said he'll road trip it with me when I go down this month to have a look. Aside from that everyone else has been very supportive and happy for me. Which is great.
It just sucks that I won't be around much for the next 5 (or more) years.
All that said, its time for me to go visit a medical professional. I'm told that coughing up blood in the catagory of things not good, and should be looked at.
later.

Hey folks, long time no see. I've been having a reasonably good year so far with some stressful bits. Hopefully though I can start to even it out now and can blog a little more, its not like I have much of an exscuse for not getting the word out more frequently.
I'm trying to come up with bad things that have happened to me so far this year and cannot in fact think of any, besides some romantic issues which are not bad things so much as disapointing things. And not for the reason that you might think.
So on to the good things.
- Got a good raise at work in febuary, possibly the only one in the warehouse who did. - Bought a bicycle in May, not a big thing but a thing. - Running and racing continues far past its expected peter out time, I ran my first race, a 10 mile race, in late April, and my second race , a half-marathon is next weekend at Calgary stampede. - Completed 2 math couses at Grant McEwan and came away from both with marks of A- - Went to Mexico 2 times, once over christmas and once in Febuary. In the trip in Febuary I took a friend of mine with me as a christmas presant and it turned out real well. He really seemed to relax and it was a great trip. - Took up golf again. (I golfed from age 8 to age 16) - Generally enjoyed myself. Still trying to persue my age old goal of becomming a better person, but progress there, as with all things that are worth doing, takes time, some result is seen.
So now I may feel that I have actually fixed myself enough to go back to school, and go back to school I shall. September the 6th is the date, and the University of Saskatchewan, in saskatoon is the place. This means that I only have about 2 more months of living in E-town and then off on a new adventure.
I'm all excited by that. It'll be nice to be putting in those long days for me, as opposed to putting another Mercedes in the garage of my company's owner.
Anyway, thats about it for now, I've got lotsa work to do this week to meet this week's goals. If I can meet this week's goals then I'm only still alot behind the game for meeting the goals I need to meet to move to Saskatoon.
I'll post more later, hopefully soon about school and moving and assorted stuff.
